Dude wheres my car?
Stolen from us yess! theives nasty tricksey hobbitsess.

For those of you who haven't seen me recently my car was stolen, at the end of what had been a bad week any way which had already seen my dog walking out on me with my wife = Ok so that's not strictly true but if I had a dog and a wife that's probably the sort of thing that would of happened so you get the gist it was all going a bit Pete Tong.

Anyho I'd been on a training course all week and was heading off to the York races on the Friday afternoon spending the night there then having a pissup the next day with Trev and Frank Skinner. So I left my car near where I work and got on the train, the two are very close together; my parents were to pick it up later that night, hurray for slave labor!

At the races it started off bad when I was checking into the hostel I realised that I would miss the first race so rang ahead for somebody to put a bet on for me, I got their voicemail and left a message to put a £5 (I know big spender) on Creeping Crawler to win (I don't go in for all this fanning around with either way act I want my donkeys to win damn it!). Lucy who I'm with at the time suggests we ring somebody else and get them to put a bet on for us, which we do. Yes I know you can see where this is going already but it didn't occur to us at the time. Ok you guessed it when we arrived to collect our winnings, apparently we'd lost, but not only that we had lost twice damn it! On the plus side though Definite Guest did come in in the second and give me enough money to cover the debts I incurred the rest of the day.

Later that night at a really shitty and overly priced club I rang home to check my slaves err parents had picked up the car, no they hadn't cos it wasn't there was it. They thought I'd changed my mind and taken it up to York with me, and I had a hard time convincing them to ring the police and tell them it was Stolen and I wasn't playing a prank on them. Anyway I stayed the night at York and then came back Saturday morning to see the police ect and find out what was happening about my car, so I missed the pissup with Trev and Frank sorry about that guys. I got off the train and checked where I'd left my car, y'know just incase my parents and the police had both missed it, yup it was gone. I decided not to look around for it to much I mean was I expecting it to be hidden behind a tree or something. No signs of a struggle, my poor baby in the clutches of deranged thugs. I took a minute or two to revel in the thought that yesterday had been a practically hot day and that the windows didn't work in my car and the cooler in it was naff, excellent. I also realised that it's about three miles home and I had to walk it, now this isn't a problem at all usually but it was just as hot if not hotter then the day before and I was
already dehydrated from alcohol the night before, I tell you I mad the Sahara look like a ocean in comparison.

Finally I arrived at my village staggering from side to side ready to collapse any minute muttering "water, water" Entering the nearest newsagents I purchases a lovely can of lilt however when I left and attempted to open the can the ring pull just came straight off in my finger leaving a night open less can staring smugly back at me, well bloody thank you lord.

The police called round after that night to tell me they found my car and would I like to pick it up, they very nice police dude gave me a lift up in his car, its amazing what you can hear on a police radio. We rendezvoused with another police car that was waiting with my car - yeah two car its a state of national emergency when my car gets nicked. After a quick look over it was obvious that it was in need of a mechanics attention so disabling the engine I left it there not before having a look at what they had nicked from inside:

2 x CD players - broken
1 x Large red screw driver - to do another job presumably
1 x My work equipment case containg:
1 x Screw Driver - that I had for 3 years, we'd bonded and I miss the little bugger now.
1 x Wills Utils disk - Don't have a backup as from last place I worked - twas very useful
1 x Wills Majik drivers disk v1. - not very useful as drivers for last place worked
1 x Wills Majik drivers disk v2. - Useful but recoverable
1 x Network boot disk - recoverable
1 x Ghost walk disk - recoverable
1 x Ghost Walk disk vX - Experimental version probably not recoverable
1 x Lots of other CD's and stuff

Oh shit I think they nicked my nifty black USB cables and some NW cards (that were probably broken)

And this is the worst atrocity GONE Iron Maiden Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son! ARRRRRRgh

Left:
1x Laptop
1x Radio player - I figure that they realised it didn't work
?x Network cables - were ? Is equal to a big ball of wire worms Lots x Security cables.

Oh and my alarm doesn't sound and say it’s a mauve alert any more.

That more or less brings us up to now I called a garage they picked it up and have sorted it - more or less still a few things wrong with it. I'll let you know more when I pick it up in a day or two.
