God gave rock and roll....
Well this is nice for a change, generally things are going smoothly, well more or less.
I don't think I mentioned this before but I got back in to the music playing business a few months before
Christmas. Something I'd been wanting to get back to for a while, I'm no where near as good as Malcome Young or
Steve Harris but I can still bang out a few good bass lines when I want I'll have you know. We're just becoming
tighter and tighter as a band musically and friendship wise. This is obviously a good thing as a band can play
really well together but if they don't get on it ain't gonna last, and one of the things I have always said
about my music is when it stops being fun then I don't see any point in me doing it, it is after all a hobby.
Rock on...
Staying on the subject of music but also incorporating one of my other interests, film, I went to see School of
Rock the other day with Daryl Ian and Liza. It was the first film in a long time that I actually enjoyed, if
one discounts the Lord of the Rings films but surely that goes without saying. Praise be Peter Jackson, now I
can talk about Lord of the Rings, without appearing to geeky, oh yeah like you don't know what a saving throw
is bub. But I digress, where was I... Oh yes School of Rock. Quite possibly the first time I have ever stayed
till the end of the credits, as did most other people, on the way out it was a case of spot who is in a band,
well there was me and Ian our lead guitar chap and I think there was at least one or two full bands there.
Oh and happy new year.
